Western Digital is the owner of the premium-storage brand G-Technology, and it has recently revealed its new product called G-Drive slim SSD USB-C. This product is an ideal companion of the latest MacBook Pro notebook that features the USB-C port, as it promises faster data speed and USB connectivity.

G-Technology comes in two varieties, 1TB and 500GB. The SSDs have an average performance of 540MB per second and has a 10Gb per second USB 3.1 Gen 2 interface. The drive has a Type-C to Type-C cable and a Type-C to Type-A cable, which are to be utilized in order for the G-Drive slim SSD USB-C drive to function with any computer through the Thunderbolt 3, USB-C,or any USB 3.0 ports.

The G-Technology has truly adapted to the technological advancement that is required to keep up with these fast-paced times. Mike Williams, vice president of Western Digital, emphasized how the G-Drive slim SSD USB-C represent the company's commitment to produce products that boast excellent performance, has style, and is reliable through the integration of SSD technology and the up-to-date USB-C interface.

The SSD is priced at $229.95 for its 500GB version and $379.95 for its 1TB version. The drive can be purchased at any G-technology resellers; however, the space gray variant will be exclusively offered on the Apple Store on early November.

If the speeds that the SSD drives is not your priority, the rose gold G-Drive mobile USB-C drive can be chosen as an option. It has a 1TB, 7200 RPM HDD inside of it, and possesses a speed of 136MB per second; moreover it is cheaper at only $119.95 according to Slash Gear.

On the other hand, basic hard drives can also be used for the MacBook Pro and it is way cheaper for under $100, as reported by PC Mag UK.
