Nintendo won't officially throw out more key details about the upcoming home gaming system, the Nintendo Switch. Even so, the fifth and current president of Nintendo Tatsumi Kimishima has offered a high-level take on the system's price and launch lineup.

Regarding the price of Nintendo Switch, Kimishima said that the console will be priced in line with what gamers would expect from a Nintendo console. However, given that Nintendo's next video gaming system is sort of a new idea in the game, which is a console and a mobile hybrid, it's hard to compare it to any previous Nintendo system, Game Spot has learned

Kimishima stated that in terms of pricing, they are not planning to sell the upcoming home gaming system at a loss. They would like a wide variety of video gamers to enjoy Nintendo products, and they would also like to think in terms of consumers' expectations for their products, according to Nintendo.

With regard to the launch line-up, Nintendo president said the third-party support has been strong for the Nintendo Switch, with the open world action role-playing video game "Skyrim" and a game of "NBA 2K" being shown off during the introductory video of the gaming system, Digital Spy reported.

Kimishima made it known that third-party publishers are fully aware that the upcoming console offers a chance to create new and exciting surprises, which are not possible with existing video gaming machines. That being said, Nintendo will officially announce the console's price, specs and launch lineup on Jan. 12. The tech giant has said that tech fans should not expect any major news about the video gaming system until then.

In terms of console's sales projections, the tech company expects to ship 2 million Nintendo Switch during the console's launch month of March 2017.
