Apple's recently updated MacBook Pros are truly making rounds of sensational discussions in the tech industry. However, another Apple product that is expected to get an update is the Thunderbolt Display, Apple's stand-alone monitor. On the contrary, the device was not on display and may have been discontinued.

On the other hand, a new 27-inch 5K UltraFine Display made by LG and was co-designed by Apple was revealed. These monitors will make a perfect fit into Apple's new 13 and 15-inch MacBook Pros. Apple has made it clear, based on their press comments from the event last Thursday, that it will permanently stop manufacturing its own external monitors, according to Vera Cruz Post.

According to Nilay Patel, Apple firmly stated that they have taken out their identity in the standalone display making ventures. Although the LG 5K UltraFine Display is not as aesthetically similar to Apple's overall design, it still boasts the expected functionality that the Thunderbolt display has.

Just like the Thunderbolt display, it has a single charging Thunderbolt 3 cable, and a multi-stream data transport that can accommodate video output and serves as a power source to the MacBook, according to Slash Gear.

LG was also tasked to make Apple iMac's 4K and 5K display panels. The new LG 5K display is an impressive addition to the MacBook Pro. The collaboration between Apple and LG produced an astonishing color-rich display, attractive Touch Bar exactly placed above the MacBook's keyboard. The LG monitor can function as a docking station using the USB Type-C connector.

There are three USB Type-C ports located in the back of the monitor for the purpose of attaching external drives, webcam, memory card reader, printer, speakers, and the new MacBook Pro drops. Apple is still working on the ethernet port for this monitor. This 5K UltraFine 5K Monitor will be coming stores in early parts of Dec.
