It looks like HBO's "Game of Thrones" is out to outdo its Emmy award-winning episode, "Battle of the Bastards," with the promise of an even more epic beach battle in Season 7. But will this battle set the stage for the three-headed dragon theory, one which involves Daenerys Targaryen, Jon Snow and Tyrion Lannister?

What went before

Currently, the cast and crew of "Game of Thrones" Season 7 are setting up shop in Ithalica, southern Spain, A.V. Club reported. It also mentioned an upcoming ambush battle, seemingly between Daenerys' horde of dragons and Dothraki against the newly crowned Queen, Cersei Lannister.

As Daenerys moves to take her rightful place to the throne, two people--Jon Snow and Tyrion Lannister--stand firmly by her side, as revealed by leaked photos on the "Game of Thrones" Season 7 set. More importantly, this threesome alliance has revived a popular theory involving them: the three-headed dragon prophecy, where three Targaryen dragon riders come together to defeat the White Walkers, according to The Huffington Post.

The 'three-headed' dragon theory

It's been revealed in the "Game of Thrones" Season 6 finale that Jon Snow was actually a Targaryen. Popular fan theories also suggested that Tyrion could also be related to the royal lineage because of his affinity with dragons, something only Targaryens are known to possess.

Daenerys, Jon Snow, and Tyrion Lannister also share a crazy number of coincidences, PopSugar reported. All of their mothers died in childbirth and have lived most of their lives under oppression. However, all three have since sought greatness in their respective fields: Dany as the rightful queen of Westeros, Jon Snow as the King in the North, and Tyrion as the new Hand of the Queen to Dany.

If this is true, then the Targaryens are out to reclaim the throne. "Game of Thrones" Season 7 will air sometime in 2017.
