Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus vs Google Pixel XL: Design and display

Mi 5s Plus comes with IPS LCD 5.7-inch screen (1080 x 1920 pixels resolution and 386 pixel density). As far as the display is concerned, Pixel XL has sharper display on its 5.5-inch screen with 534 pixel density.

Mi 5s Plus has slightly bigger screen than Pixel XL but surprisingly both weigh the same (168 grams).

Both, Mi 5s Plus and Pixel XL rock the newest chipset, Snapdragon 821, that powers up the devices for faster multitasking and overall performance. Since both flagships do not offer memory expansion, Xiaomi offers better storage options: 64 GB and 4 GB RAM or 128 GB and 6 GB RAM whilst Pixel XL only settles for 4 GB of RAM for the same storage spaces.

Mi 5s Plus camera gets dual 13 MP that features dual-LED flash and phase detection autofocus, as listed in GSM Arena. It offers plenty of photo options to take better images including stereo-mode and auto-HDR. Pixel XL has EIS software that benefits for steady video shots. Pixel XL would be the winner for camera and video quality although Mi 5s Plus is not far behind with its decent results.

Xiaomi equips Mi 5s Plus with 3,800 mAh battery. Pixel XL rocks a 3,450 mAh battery. The capacity difference makes Mi 5s Plus able to get you through the day even if you are a heavy user.

Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus may be lacking a few items compared to premium flagship like Pixel XL but it is still a capable performer.
