Julius Onah, director of the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is said to be filming and developing a third Cloverfield film. The revelation came when it was reported that "God Particle" to be a third sequel of the Cloverfield film series. The film is produced by J.J. Abrams.

Sources pointed out that Paramount Pictures and Abrams are working on producing one Cloverfield film every year, Slashfilm reported. The story begins when a physics experiment became the cause of Earth's vanishing, due to its large hadron accelerator. 

The film will be focusing on a team of astronauts as they unravel the truth, and later on made to face the challenge of fighting for their survival, according to IGN. The American space station is now floating amidst the now empty space, along with its crew. A presence of a European spacecraft showed up to their radar, thus being posed with the challenge if they are their saviors or their enemies.

"God Particle" will be released on Feb 24, 2017. The film is of thrilling nature, and was produced from utilizing lesser budget of Paramount and Bad Robot. Will "Cloverfield 3" establish the link between the Cloverfield monster and foregoing chemical attack in the US? The "Cloverfield 3 God Particle" will be set in the Cloverfield universe.

Looking back, the "God Particle" was announced way back 2012 however it has not been pushed through due to InSurge, the independent arm of Paramount. The cast of the films includes David Oyelowo, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Ziyi Zhang, Elizabeth Debicki, Daniel Bruhl, and Chris O'Dowd.

On the other hand, Abrams is also the executive producer of the currently-running HBO series "Westworld. He is also producing the next "Star Wars" movie, which will be directed by Rian Johnson. Few of Abrams famous works include two "Star Trek" remake films and co-produced "Alias" and "Lost'.
