Square Enix announced that as part of its Paris Games Week event, "Final Fantasy XV" will offer a multiplayer co-op online, implemented as part of the action role-playing video game's DLC offerings.

There isn't much to go on yet regarding the mode, dubbed as Comrades, but it seems like the mode is only up for grabs via the DLC pass of "Final Fantasy XV," which costs $25. The video game company also reiterated that three expansion packs that centers on Prompto Gladiolus and Ignis are on the way. These Final Fantasy characters will be playable in the online co-op mode, which is up to four gamers, Game Spot reported.

Square Enix stated in a press release that the focal point of FFXV's season pass is the three original episodes that take place during the events of the action role-playing video game. Wherein, each episode allows "Final Fantasy XV" players take control of one of the comrades of Noctis in all-new adventures that offer unique play styles which are customized to each FFXV character.

DLC Producer Haruyoshi Sawatari said that they will bring the main protagonist Noctis back in as the fourth member of the party, and then add up an online multiplayer expansion to bring the "Final Fantasy XV" characters all together, according to VG247.

Furthermore, Sawatari claims that the DLC is in very early stages, which is only about 20 percent complete, even so, the hope is that it will expand player within the "Final Fantasy 15" universe.

Sawatari explained that in giving players an idea of their philosophy on why they are doing this and how they are approaching it, basically for the reason that FF15 has been in development for such a long time and they've kept Final Fantasy fans waiting for such a very long time for this game. So, they want to give something back in that sense, Eurogamer has learned.
