October 27, 2016, marks the 3rd Annual Celebrity Bartender Fundraising event held at the Student Prince/The Fort Café for the benefit of the Springfield Symphony Orchestra. The no entrance fee and free valet service event commences at 5:50 p.m.

It is exciting to note that familiar but likable personalities from SSO or Springfield Symphony Orchestra with the cooperation of some celebrities in the area are pampering lucky visitors to the affair with their favorite drinks. This is why it's called Celebrity Bartender Fundraising event, as featured in the Springfield Downtown website.

Raffle prizes are given away including SSO concert tickets! The SSO's music and educational efforts benefit from the tips from both food and drinks from the Celebrity Bartenderd plus other donations for this very worthwhile project that is bringing much quality life to the community.

Some of the public figures or Celebrity Bartenders spotted are; Justin Roberts, of MassLive who is also Suit Up Springfield's founder/president, Chris Russell of the Springfield Business Improvement District and Ray Dandurand, the Central High School band director, according to MassLive.

Matt Bertuzzi, Springfield Symphony Orchestra's board of director member who also performs as the Commerce High School band director is also there. They were all present to support SSO's fundraising campaign and to also have fun.

The mechanics on how the celebrities man the brew taps during this SSO event are observed. Volunteer personalities or the Celebrity Bartenders are grouped into teams. Each team serves the multitude of visitors for 45 minutes. 4 teams are taking shifts to complete the 3-hour SSO's Celebrity Bartender affair.

The target to raise $7,500 is intended for the Springfield Symphony Orchestra's Youth Education Program. Around 5,000 music students from the local schools will benefit from the money raised by the SSO Celebrity Bartender event through their sponsored learning privileges.

Additional proceeds from the Celebrity Bartender event are also raised from the management of Student Prince's donation. 10% is automatically extracted from their food sales for the SSO.

Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno, also took his shift at the bar as Celebrity Bartender along with Springfield Fire Commissioner Joseph Conant. Dawn Creighton, of Dress for Success, Ray Berry, owner of the White Lion Brewery and Morgan Drewniany, from ED Cultural District follow suit.

Lindsay Iadeluca, from Western Mass News, Hunter Golden, manager of the Valley Blue Sox, Zach Baru, owner of the Springfield Sting, and Ryan Smith, manager of the Springfield Thunderbirds were also on the other Celebrity Bartender shifts.
