John Mayer, who is known to spill the beans when it comes to sexing his exes, was spotted getting cozy with Demi Lovato on LA's hotspot, Catch, sparking dating rumors.

While Mayer and Lovato could be a good rebound for each other, with the former who hasn't been in any date since break up with pop star Katy Perry while the latter is freshly out from a 6-year off and on relationship with boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama, their 'cozy' reunion is nothing else but just that, ET Online reported.

It was said that Mayer held Lovato by the waist and whispered sweet nothings by which the latter giggled. However, the truth is, the male musician was merely complimenting Lovato's music and she was flattered by it. It was nothing else but a friendly reunion.

Mayer and Lovato have worked together in the past when the former penned some lyrics to the latter's song for her 2009 album "Here We Go Again," NY Mag reported. They move in the same circle and are working within the same industry. Although they are perfect for each other, there's just nothing else between them other than their profession.

Back in 2009, Mayer tweeted he's a big fan of Lovato's "La La Land" as it had him singing the song, to which he thinks is sophisticated. Lovato tweeted back that it's quite possibly the biggest compliment she's ever received in her life.

Moreover, the "Your Body Is a Wonderland" singer's schedule is tight these days because he's working hard on the release of his new pop album come summer of 2017.

Mayer is famous for dating popular celebrities such as Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Aniston and Taylor Swift. Lovato, on the other hand, was recently linked to MMA pro fighter Luke Rockhold, but this was unconfirmed.
