In Donald Trumps' campaign today, David Feder, the general manager of his Doral property discloses that 99% of their staff including part-timers who work 30 hours weekly enjoy the hotel's healthcare insurance. Only very few are under the Obamacare. This issue is very timely with Nordstrom's announcement that the retail chain needs 11,400 seasonal employees for their stores. It did not mention if the group's private insurance covers seasonal workers as well.

Trump hinted that there's deception with the federal government's health insurance premium increases. He's not convinced with the 25% figure. He believes that the Obama administration made it look like the increase is limited to 25% when in reality it's up to 80% in increases, as per CNN . Seasonal workers do matter with Obamacare. It is likely the ultimate reason why few of Donald Trump's employees are still with the affordable health care plan.

Seasonal workers working 120 days or lower are not mandated to be included in the work place's group health insurance coverage - like in Trump's businesses and Nordstrom. They can be covered only when they qualify in the eligible employee category.

Of the 11,400 seasonal employees hired by Nordstrom, 1,900 will be assigned to the fulfillment and distribution centers.  Online shopping.is one of Nordstrom's many commercial ventures. The fulfillment process is essential. The sorting process is in San Bernardino whereas distribution centers are in Ontario and Newark.

Nordstrom is hiring 11,400 seasonal employees, at its traditional retail stores, rack stores, fulfillment and distribution centers, 1,200 positions of that will be for the traditional retail stores situated in Southern California.

1,900 new hires are expected to be stationed at the fulfillment and distribution centers to assist with the increasing online shopping demands during the holidays.
