Microsoft Surface Pro 5, which is a 2-in-1 PC Tablet, is expected to be the new challenger to the more powerful Apple devices in the coming year. The Surface Pro 5 is said to feature better camera specs compared to the iPad Pro 2.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is said to feature a 4K display similar to the MacBook Pro. The device is also rumored to come along with a stronger processor and a lighter build compared to the MacBook Pro. The 2-in-1 PC Tablet is slated to be a lot thinner than the Surface Pro 4.

It is said that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will take on the USB-C standards. The USB-C charger of the device is said to boast lightning speed in terms of data transfer and charging. Moreover, the highly anticipated gadget is also slated for a more improved camera spec as well as a sixth-gen Skylake chip, PC Advisor reported.

Furthermore, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is expected to include a Surface Pen. The stylus will be updated, wherein it will have a rechargeable battery with wireless charging through a magnetic attachment to the tablet. The American tech giant is believed to have applied for a patent on the rechargeable stylus with a magnetic dock.

That being said, as rumors have been rounding up regarding the battle of Surface Pro 5 against iPad Pro 2 and MacBook Pro 2016, in spite of that, the MacBook Pro 2016 is slated to debut before October 2016 ends.

Even so, tech fans can expect that Surface Pro 5 will have a starting price of $899, and escalate from that price depending on spec configurations and bundled accessories. But, no official word from Microsoft regarding the exact figures on what the device will cost on its release, according to Tech Radar.

As for the official unveiling for the Surface Pro 5, the release date might be sooner than everyone thinks.
