Recognition to exceptional people who contribute to the improvement of their trade must be continued. This will entice individuals to push through their limits and encourage others to follow suit. If Julia Roberts received an Academy Award for playing Erin Brockovich, how much more the real-life heroes? Erin was the environmental activist who was vital in winning the community case against the energy firm that pollutes the air in California sometime in the 1990s.

This year, 10 most outstanding teachers are recognized for their innovative work and bagged golden awards from Pearson. The Pearson Teaching Awards celebration is conducted annually and dubbed as 'Oscars of the teaching world'. Actor Hugh Dennis hosted the event at Guildhall in London.

The students' and parents' councils plus their friends voted for the finalists. The winners are chosen by an expert panel in the education sector. They bring home with them the Plato Award for teaching excellence.

Nothing can make Dennis proud and honored in hosting the event this year. He owes his success today from his teachers in the past. The Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Team's real-time radio encounter with Tim Peake, the astronaut from the International Space Station also garnered the award for inspiring people.

Wide broadcast coverage of the awards ceremony reaches 18 million viewers around the U.K. which leads the St. Albans-based group to get the Outstanding School Team of the Year award.

BBC2 is scheduled to broadcast the event on October 30, 2016, at 6 p.m., during the airing of the show "Britain's Classroom Heroes". Strictly Come Dancing Star, Brendan Cole is expected to grace the airing.

Rod Bristow, Pearson UK President warmly congratulates the 2016 Teaching Award winners. A child's education relies greatly on effective teaching methods. Pearson is happy to be a main part of the celebration; he implies.

The recognition is for educational establishments in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Lord Puttnam CBE initiated the Pearson Teaching Awards in 1998, duly manned by the Teaching Awards Trust. It is a charity organization and independent from the government. Indeed a wonderful project for motivating brilliant educators.
