Apple Inc. rolls out an update to macOS Sierra version 10.12.1, which is now up for grabs for Mac users via the App Store. The macOS Sierra version 10.12.1 also comes along with Safari security enhancements, iPhone 7 Photos compatibility fixes and more.

Technically, the macOS 10.12.1 improves security and reliability for all Apple device users. As the iPhone 7 Plus users will be fond of a new Depth Effect smart album in Photos when making the practical use of iOS 10.1 and macOS 10.12.1, the update also notes the specifically improved compatibility with Microsoft Office documents, Universal Clipboard, Mail, and an Auto Unlock with Apple Watch, 9 To 5 Mac reported.

The macOS Sierra Version 10.12.1 update is expected to be pre-installed on any new Macs released at the Hello Again event. The macOS 10.12.1 patch is approximately 584MB and obtainable through Software Update. The tech company's iOS 10 and tvOS were also updated.

Furthermore, regarding the Hello Again event, the tech giant just sent out invites for an event in Cupertino on Oct. 27. The tagline on the invite is a clear reference to the Mac. The event will be streamed live starting at 10AM PT or 1PM ET, and if an endless string of speculation turns out to be true, Apple fans will finally be seeing some new MacBook Pros, according to The Verge.

Rumors are claiming that the new MacBook Pro, which is expected to have a major update,  will come along with an OLED touch control bar above its keyboard that will dynamically display different function keys. There are also speculations that the Cupertino-based tech company will move to an all-USB-C port arrangement, ditching the classic USB and the company's MagSafe power connector in favor of the all-in-one port they used on the smaller 12-inch MacBook.
