Microsoft will hold an event on Oct. 26 and the tech crowds expect the giant to introduce the new Surface Pro or Surface Book. Will that be happening?

There is a scarce detail around the event that has made the fans curious as well as excited to find out whether Microsoft would unveil Surface Pro 5. The event is scheduled on Oct. 26 in New York City, and so far, the company only confirmed about the Windows 10 update.

Many reports claim that Microsoft will introduce the newest model of Surface PC an all in one desktop. which has been talked about in the past few months. A leak of FCC file that shows a keyboard with Surface brand seems to corroborate with the rumor, Gizmodo reported.

It is strongly believed that the event will reveal updates of Windows 10 in all the products. The updated version of Windows 10, codenamed Redstone 2, is expected to be the OS in Surface Pro 5 and Surface Book 2. It will bring major changes in the platform, including power-efficient system and more.

Microsoft hardware event may not introduce Surface Pro 5, Surface Book 2 or Surface Phone

The event is likely to highlight the Windows 10 updates and there may not be much room for discussing Surface Pro 5 or Surface Book 2. Microsoft could be saving another date to introduce the devices. The most possible thing to expect is the upgrades of Surface Pro 4 tablet and the original Surface Book.

Microsoft might announce the Kaby Lake processor upgrades, but the hybrid laptop may be released later or in early 2017. Kaby Lake is expected to increase the CPU performance and reduce heating issue.

The fans are eagerly waiting for the Surface Phone, but it seems that the smartphone will not make a debut in the event. Rumors suggest that the device might materialize in 2017 or even early 2018.
