A new character, Goku Black, was introduced to the "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" even if the "Dragon Ball Super" anime series is not yet released outside of Japan, their new character will be franchising fans in other regions. The antagonistic and extremely powerful Goku Black is a pre-order bonus playable fighter for the "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" game. The game will be launching towards the last part of this month.

The trailer for the "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" shows an actual gameplay clip of Goku Black while fighting Super Saiyan God Vegeta. The moveset of Goku Black is somewhat the same with the original Goku, which appears in other "Xenoverse 2" gameplay videos; however, Goku Black's Kamehameha wave emits a dark purple and black energy, while the original Goku and the other characters who can execute the move has a bright blue blast, Game Rant has learned.

Goku Black seems like a confirmation to the theories made by fans. Fans said that "Dragon Ball Super" is linked to the "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2." Goku Black was able to time travel with the use of a special ring in the "Dragon Ball Super" anime. Similarly, the villains of the "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" came from different times. They have joined together to become a nemesis to the main character. Goku Black's role in the "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" story is not yet defined, however his appearance have made other villains travel throughout time, Attack of the Fan Boy reported.

Since the game will be launching in over a week's time, Bandai Namco will not be releasing any other information about the Dragon Ball Xenoverse sequel. Goku Black will not be usable since he is a pre-order character, however there are still other fighters which can be chosen from the list such as Trunks, Piccolo, Majin Vegeta, the original Son Goku, Gohan, and others.
