The world of sci-fi or fantasy series is just simply infinite. Despite of the existing possibilities, such as dragons co-existing with humans, vampires going to school, and teen magical creatures out to save the world - the decision to let actors of color to play a certain role is still one thing that most creators have not yet fully-considered.

GOT is one of the series' with high viewership ratings, Game of Thrones has instantaneously drawn criticism for having its white lead Daenerys Targaryen to depict a white savior complex. However, as the TV series progresses, HBO Has integrated characters of color into the show's storyline. It also featured a couple of full-frontal male nudity scenes, according to the Huffington Post.

Reports from E-Online covered what Oyelowo stated - the series will still go through long periods of adapting a diverse composition for its cast. According to an interview with Radio Times, he said that there is no such valid reason why "Game of Thones" cannot feature main characters of color. He went on to further explained that putting on ethnic minorities means putting them on bigger characters. He also said that this world is not just simply a white world, and there are reasons why situations doesn't happen as such. He also emphasized that they are more of adding people of color into the story.

Over the six seasons of "Game of Thrones", Radio Times have noted that there are numerous characters of colors who appeared on the series. Some of them are Salladhor Saan (Lucian Msamati), Xaro Xhoan Daxos (Nonso Anozie), Areo Hotah (DeObia Oparei), Grey Worm (Jacob Anderson), and the famous Missandei (Nathalie Emmanuel). However, these characters were not given a remarkable storyline as compared to their white counterparts. They have also not survived longer than a season or two.

Oyelowo went on to explain that people with color in the series exist in a world where they are submissives or just meant for a helper role, however he said that this is not just simply a reason why they cannot have distinguished roles.
