Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) was launched in South last month and if rumors are to be believed, the smartphone is set to hit the store shelves in India.

The Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) has a price tag of KRW 649,000 ($583) in South Korea. Now, Galaxy A8's price has surfaced on Zauba, Indian import-export website.

It's worth noting that the price per unit specified for India on Zauba is just Rs. 13,635, which converts to about $204. This is nowhere near to a significantly higher Rs. 39,000 (about $583) price tag it carries in South Korea. In other words, the information on Zauba is not completely credible. That being said, the Zauba listing does not compulsorily indicate the final market price of the device, BGR reported.

The listing on Zauba does not reveal an imminent India launch, nevertheless, the Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) could be a small saving grace amidst the recent Note 7 fiasco. This may be the best time for Samsung to introduce a safer smartphone in India where the Note 7 was not even launched. The Zauba listing shows the Galaxy A8 bearing model number SM-A810F being shipped from South Korea to Delhi, India.

Samsung launched the Galaxy A8 last year in India with a price tag of Rs. 32,500 (about $487). The Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) is the successor of the aforesaid smartphone.

As far as specs are concerned, Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) is said to sport a 5.7 inch full HD super AMOLED screen coupled with Samsung's Always-on display.

The 7.2 mm thick smartphone will feature a metal unibody. It will be powered by a 1.5 GHz octa-core Exynos 7420 processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage which will be further expandable up to 256GB via microSD card, according to TheIndianExpress.

In terms of cameras, the Galaxy A8 (2016) is expected to sport a 16MP primary camera and an 8MP front shooter.

The Galaxy A8 (2016) will run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with Grace UI. The device's home button also acts as a fingerprint scanner. It comes with a robust 3,300 mAh battery.
