Apple is gearing up to launch new MacBook Pro later this month packed with an array of awe-inspiring features, specs, more colors and variations.

Gadget freaks were waiting with bated breath for Apple to unveil the MacBook Pro 2016 during the recently concluded iPhone 7 launch event, but to their dismay that did not happen. Now, there's hearsay that all-new versions of Mac laptops could be announced this month, specifically on Oct. 27 amidst a change in the schedule for the company's fourth quarter earnings call.

The Cupertino based tech firm cited a "scheduling conflict" for shifting the conference call to Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 2 p.m. PT/ 5 p.m. ET from its original date, Oct. 27. Apple made the announcement on its Investor News page. Meanwhile, 9To5Mac reported that Apple changed once before so that senior executives could attend the memorial service of board member Bill Campbell.

However, the company did not issue any official comment regarding the matter this time around.

This fueled speculations among Apple fans that by bringing forward the Q4 earning call, Apple wants to pave the way  for a keynote address a couple of days later in which new Macs including the MacBook Pro, MacBook Air and iMac Retina 5K display will be announced.

In terms of specs, the MacBook Pro 2016 is likely to feature a 15-inch 5K Apple display with 5120 x 2880 screen resolution and the Lightning port for audio and USB-C ports. It will be powered by AMD Polaris GPUs. Rumors running rampant suggest that a 13-inch variation for the MacBook Pro 2016 will also be in the offing. Moreover, the MacBook Pro 2016 will be up for grabs in various colors, according to reports on Headlines & Global News.

If the recently surfaced reports are anything to go by, the MacBook Pro 2016 will be worth $1099 for the 13-inch variation, and will carry a steep price tag of $2,099 for the 15-inch.
