Despite the 2016 Paris auto show's wild concepts and supercars, the fourth generation of the diminutive 2018 Kia Rio debuted. Aside that it has two first-in-class safety features, the 2018 Kia Rio is looking a little sportier, better equipped than ever before, and the size of the car is a little larger.

The new Rio's engine will be powered by a range of gasoline and diesel engines around the world, but the South Korean automobile manufacturer directs a particular attention to the inclusion of the three-cylinder 1.0-liter T-GDI engines to the list of options. Kia notes the engine efficiency of 2018 Kia Rio, as well as it has low emissions, and light weight that is beneficial to the Rio's performance.

The engine of 2018 Kia Rio makes about 98-118 horsepower compared to other Kia models, which is a bit shy of the United States market that naturally aspirated 1.6-liter engine's 138 ponies, according to CNET.

Rio's new interior and exterior design are a bit awesome that goes to the automaker's design centers in Germany and California. According to Kia, the 2018 Kia Rio is designed and engineered to appeal to more car enthusiasts than ever before.

The hatchback of the new Kia Rio features more straight lines and smoother surfaces, in which it gives the car a sportier appearance. With the new bodywork, the automaker also managed to ditch of the somewhat cheap look of the outgoing model, based on the report of Top Speed.

The wheelbase of the latest Kia Rio is 10 mm long and the body is 15 mm wider, which allow for more design variability inside. The 2018 Kia Rio is expected to handle better than before, thanks to the car's lighter and stiffer metals throughout its chassis and body. With the car's narrower grille and squintier headlamps, it will look a little more aggressive on the road, Auto Focus reported.
