As it turns out, even student government officials are subject to massive public gaffes.

In 5,100 words, Thor Lund, former University of Texas-Austin student government president, wrote a piece called "What I've Learned About Women." In the exposition, he details "rules" and "lessons" he has learned about females. Normally, he writes about what any 20-something would, being vegan, strange dreams and, of course, chronicling every hour of a day.

He begins by telling anyone looking for a new pickup line, a way to get a girl in bed, or anyone who does not love women, to stop reading. The original version was taken down, but a cached version can be viewed here.

"Because you are the kind of person that turns in to a shitty father and ruins America for everyone else," he wrote.

He also has an interesting theory on when a woman is most truthful.

"Girls are lying all day long. They lie about their feelings, their weight, how much cardio they did, and what they think of their best friends oversized purse," Lund wrote. "But at the end of the day, when I get a girl back to my place, she will tell the truth about what she wants to do when she grows up, what her family is like, what her city is like, and why she has that stupid oversized purse."

Before he gets started on his "rules," he even quotes himself.

"So without further adieu, here are my rules for women..." he wrote. "1. 'When you realize women make absolutely no sense, it all makes sense.' - Thor Ericson Lund."

"He went on to tell his readers to check for an Adam's apple, that a woman's feet are an indication of beauty for the rest of her body and gave a grade-school lesson in flirting.

If you really like her, tell her you can't stand her," Lund wrote. "If you think she is pretty, make fun of her oversized purse and ask her if she keeps a parachute inside it. If she is the nicest girl you've ever met, tell her that you don't like it that she is so mean to young children."

Laura Wright, of UT's the Daily Texan, published a critical op-ed Thursday, but hardly used any of her own words. Instead, she wrote the "11 Things" she learned from Lund's piece. Rephrasing "lessons" from the blog post, she used Lund's words as the majority of the article's body.

Lund later promised a rebuttal via Twitter, but has not done so yet and has also deactivated his Twitter account.

As expected, his essay did not go over well with UT students, especially women. Lund later removed "What I've Learned About Women" and replaced it with a statement saying he is sorry that his satire offended anyone.

After saying he was "ashamed" and how he lost a close friend, Lund still had one last self-promoting plug in him.

"I only ask that people read other parts of my blog before judging my true character and that they also try going vegan for a week."
