Apple's recently concluded iPhone 7 launch event failed to captivate gadget freaks, especially those waiting with bated breath for the company to shed more light on the highly anticipated MacBook Pro and MacBook Air. But if rampant rumors are anything to go by, they will soon have something to cheer about.

Rumor mills have been swirling speculations around the purported MacBook Pro and MacBook Air for quite a long time hinting the devices' imminent launch, but the Cupertino-based tech giant continues to remain mum and have neither confirmed nor denied these rumors.

Meanwhile, several sources are reporting that the much lauded new laptops will finally be unveiled in an unconfirmed October event. These reports are accompanied with a slew of speculated features the purported new books are slated to come with.

Apple is expected to rollout a couple of upgrades for its MacBook Pro and MacBook Air. In the wake of rumors doing rounds, California tech giant Apple opted not to release any official statement on either of the two devices. But this hasn't stopped some optimistic gadget freaks from hazarding guesses about the devices' release date, specs and features. In fact, one zealous Apple fan went as far as sending Tim Cook an email asking whether or not the company was getting rid of the Mac line.

If latest reports are anything to go by, fans won't have to wait much longer.

Apple is gearing up to launch the MacBook Pro models, with the company's current development work on macOS 10.12.1 focused primarily on developing the OS to support the upgraded hardware's new features, MacRumors reported.

Those features are said to include an OLED touch bar above the keyboard, Touch ID support and a robust GPU from AMD.

Moreover, Apple is expected to launch one final beta of the macOS 10.12.1 software early next week. This also implies that Apple is likely to finalize the software by the end of next week i.e. ahead of the imminent hardware launch.

It won't be surprising if Apple begin shipping the latest round of MacBook Pro models by the second half of October, provided things go as planned.

There's no word regarding the equally anticipated MacBook Air (of course, there's been nary a blurry render of the device), Mac Pro and Mac mini.

Meanwhile, it looks like Apple may have even more impressive computers in near future, as it's apparently collaborating with Nvidia to develop 'revolutionary' new devices.

The speculations stems from job listings posted on Nvidia Corp.'s database that reference Apple, with the latest one appearing last week, Bloomberg reported.

Current Mac computers are powered by graphic chips developed by Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD). Surprisingly, Nvidia - the leading maker of high-end graphics chips used in gaming machines - has not been given due consideration for various generations of computer models from Apple, but that's likely to change soon.
