"Rise of the Tomb Raider" will be getting a new DLC on Oct.11 for PC and Xbox One, which will bring Lara Croft back to the abandoned Croft manor in hopes of reclaiming it from her uncle who wants to claim the manor for himself. The PC version of the game reportedly boasts higher texture levels than the PS4 Pro.

"Rise of the Tomb Raider" Game Developer Crystal Dynamics previously unveiled trailers of the upcoming "Blood Ties" DLC. The new DLC will add one hour of gameplay where the protagonist will be exploring the manor, uncovering secrets, and picking up collectibles from Lara's childhood. In "Lara's Nightmare", zombies will appear for Lara to defeat, Trusted Reviews reported.

The PC version of "Rise of the Tomb Raider" reportedly has high texture presets with a higher level of quality on the core artwork.  However, some aspects may have been missed as the range of the game's high-end presets have reportedly been dialled back causing shadow quality to take a hit while lighting quality is minimized. Fire effects have also been reduced which also reduces light in the scene and the level of heat haze as well.

"Rise of the Tomb Raider" was already released on PC that can run in native 4K. An initial comparison of the game on PS4 Pro and the fully enabled PC version reportedly shows a night and day difference because of the high texture quality of the PC version. While 60fps is the standard for high-end titles like this game, Crystal Dynamics capped it at 30fps on the PS4 Pro, Playstation Lifestyle reported.

The PS4 Pro is also noted for its lack of expandable memory as well as its incapability of handling native 3840x2160 UHD resolution. Hence, it will be unable to catch up with the graphical performance of the PC version.  Digital Foundry editors have explained that the performance between the two is not necessarily detrimental.
