"MacBook Pro 2016" rumors never seem to snuff out not until the waiting game is over. However, recent rumors suggesting that patience is a virtue since the supposed-to-be addition to the MacBook family will not be powered by Kaby Lake but by the latest Cannon Lake processors instead.

Digital Trends reported about the leaked Cannon Lake processor to be release by Intel in 2017. According to Intel's roadmap, Cannon Lake will be the first generation of their 10-nanometer production technology. The newest chipset is believed to be continuing the Y and U processor lines where power requirements are 4.5 watts and 15 watts respectively.

Having said Cannon Lake's description, Mac Rumors forum commenters believed that "MacBook Pro 2016" is waiting for it that's why the latter's release date is set in 2017 which is expected to be ten times faster than its predecessors. However, another commenter speculated that if the new MacBook Pro will not be available this year, it will surely fire in 2017 with Kaby Lake but will be refreshed in 2018 with Cannon Lake inside.

A lot can be seen from Intel's leaked roadmap and that includes the Coffee Lake which is believed to be the successor of Cannon Lake. Coffee Lake will be released in 2018 continuing the U and H models of Intel's processor lines. U models power requirements ranging from 15 to 28 watts while H models will be 45 watts. This six-core cheap is deemed to be as the most interesting one. Intel has also showed its Gemini Lake as well as the Apollo Lake that will be released both in 2017.

A midst the speculations from the netizens, Apple remains silent about "MacBook Pro 2016" specs and is very keen not to disclose anything related to it. Not even a word during the Apple Event in September.  However, going through the speculations, it makes sense to say that Apple is possibly waiting for Intel Cannon Lake processor.
