Microsoft's upcoming Surface Pro 5 and Surface Book 2 are rumored to be launched in the tech company's October event. Reports are now claiming that the Microsoft might slate the release date of their new devices with new specs and features, such as the new Intel chipset and 4K display.

It has been said that the second major update to Windows 10 was delayed until spring of next year to favor a new hardware launch. If the rumors turn out to be true, the lineup would consist of the Surface Pro 5, Surface Book 2, the Surface Phone, and maybe even a Surface all-in-one PC, based on the report of Tech Radar.

Besides, Intel already confirmed that its 14-nanometer Kaby Lake processors, alongside a new HP laptop and a new Dell Ultrabook, won't come out until 2016's tail-end.

Given that the history of Microsoft with its Surface Pro launches, it wouldn't be out of character for the Redmond based tech company to push back the hardware a few months, setting itself a time to get comfortable with the Kaby Lake architecture.

However, the tech company maybe just sharing any specifics on the upcoming devices during the event. As the tech company is also reported to showcase partner devices at its October hardware launch, according to Indian Express.

In spite of that, it has been reported that Microsoft is planning to launch a new Surface device in 2016, and in 2017, the tech company would launch three more. This was hinted by the Microsoft about two months ago. So, tech fans are expecting Microsoft to release Surface Book 2 or a Microsoft Surface Pro 5, as the All-In-One Surface PC was not yet detected on anyone's radar, The Verge reported.

Thus, it seems Surface Pro 5 fans will have to wait for the tech giant to confirm all of the rumors and speculations.
