iOS 10, Apple's tenth major release of the iOS operating system, has been released for a few days now and already appears to be a significant success. In just 24 hours after its roll out, an estimated 15 percent of the tech company's enormous user base had already upgraded.

Two days after iOS 10's release, an impressive 20 percent of iOS users around the globe had upgraded.

But, if people have already become acquainted with some of the cooler features and usability tips that are into iOS 10, Apple's latest operating system has another installment of cool and clever features that might have escaped the user's attention, according to BGR.

An iPhone 6S user stated that after he updated his smartphone to iOS 10, it felt like it was on fire for the first few hours, which is definitely not in the good way. The user's iPhone 6S got hotter than it ever has, and the device performance slowed to a crawl.

But, the situation of the smartphone improved by the end of iOS 10's launch day. The user's iPhone 6S was back operating at its normal temperature and usual pace, based on the report of CNET.

The iPhone user was convinced that the initial heat-up and slowdown of the device were due in large part to the Photos app indexing the large photo library in the background while flitting about using iOS 10.

However, if a person's iOS device is feeling sluggish, there are a few things that a person can do to help improve performance a bit. First, an iPhone user must clear some space, shut down all automatic downloads, terminate background app refresh, reduce transparency and motion effects. Then, check which apps are checking a person's location

When all else fails, a person can always try to restart or reboot their device, because a simple reboot will let the device regain its stride.
