"American Horror Story" Season 6 has successfully kept fans on their toes and scratching their heads as to who is part of the show and what the story's going to be. There has been a lot of speculations and theories, but we have rounded up everything that is officially confirmed for the FX horror anthology.

"American Horror Story" Season 6 cast

Lady Gaga has long been confirmed to take the lead in "American Horror Story" Season 6. After her award-winning performance as The Countess in the fifth season, it was a no-brainer that Ryan Murphy had to bring her back in. Following Jessica Lange's exit from the horror anthology, the show needed a new muse and Gaga fits the part perfectly.

According to Just Jared, the other cast members confirmed for the sixth outing include Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Matt Bomer, Finn Wittrock, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Dennis O'Hare, Wes Bentley, Cheyenne Jackson and Jacob Artist.

"American Horror Story: The Mist"

There is a huge chance that the title of "American Horror Story" Season 6 is "The Mist," as the said title was listed on official schedules and film/TV aggregator sites such as TV Guide Magazine and Rotten Tomatoes. However, the same has since been deleted, but not before fans could grab hold of it and make their predictions as to what the sixth season would be.

Lady Gaga's "Perfect Illusion" relates to the show

So far, there have been 24 teasers released for "American Horror Story" Season 6, and one of them was included in Lady Gaga's single "Perfect Illusion." "Her song is very much up the alley so we played with that," The Hollywood Reporter quoted FX producer Stephanie Gibbons.

Lady Gaga's new dance anthem sings about a love that was a "perfect illusion," and somewhat it feels unlikely that the whole of "American Horror Story" Season 6 will revolve around a love story. However, "perfect illusion" makes sense in a way that Murphy once said that "elements of children" will be involved in the sixth season.

"American Horror Story" Season 6 premieres on Sept. 14 on FX.
