Microsoft is driven by the principle that people can do more amazing things with the help of technology. This is the same driving force that allowed them to develop the Surface Warranty for students, teachers, and schools.

Over the past two years, Microsoft has seen a growing demand for Surface devices in the education industry all over the world. Educators have been using them to enhance their teaching methods. For students, it has helped redefine the way they learn.

For example, Surface has enabled one high school student who has dysgraphia, a writing disability, to take down notes for the first time. People with dysgraphia cannot write coherently using pen and paper. Surface has helped him write again since the device's pen and pressure sensitivity are adjustable enabling the person to write legibly.

Encouraged by how it has helped such students, the tech giant decided to create and offer a warranty scheme that would enable schools to deploy Surface easily in their classrooms. The Surface Warranty program is available for all educational institutions and has taken effect on September 15 in the US, and internationally on September 30.

One of the most notable features of the Surface warranty is the 100 percent accidental damage claim for each Surface device it has purchased with a Complete for Education bundle. For example, if a school purchased 100 Surface devices, it can make an accidental damage claim for all the 100 devices. The Surface Complete for Education bundle is a far cry from the traditional warranty where a user can only make two accidental damage claims.

The warranty is very welcoming since damages, such as broken screens or scratches, are inevitable when students use such devices. Even teachers can be clumsy at times and accidentally damage or break a laptop. With the Complete for Education bundle, all minds are put at ease thus making it easier to deploy and make Surface devices available in schools and classrooms.
