Apple did not even mention the MacBook Pro 2016 during the recently concluded Apple event disappointing gadget freaks who have been waiting with bated breath for the purported laptop's arrival.

The said event centered on the long overdue iPhone 7 instead. However, the optimistic MacBook fanbase is now speculating that the highly anticipated notebook will be unveiled next month at an alleged Apple technical event.

Aside from the new iPhone which was reviewed unfavorably by several tech analysts citing the phone's dull tweaks and updates, the company also unveiled the latest iteration of its Apple Watch, which hardly boasts any update from its precursor.

On that account, avid fans are now hazarding a guess that the next MacBook Pro could have suffered the same fate which is aforementioned to be unveiled this October, per VineReport.

Apple's CEO Teases October Launch For The MacBook Pro 2016

Further cementing this possibility is another report from iTechPost that claim Apple's CEO Tim Cook teased the imminent debut of the MacBook Pro 2016 in his reply to the mail sent by an Apple fanatic to seek information about the future of the Mac series. The report further claims that Cook dropped some major teasers that hinted the release date will happen before the end of 2016.

Apple Sending Out Surveys To MacBook User

The Cupertino based tech firm has been sending out surveys to avid users asking about MacBook Pro features, particularly about the headphone jack.

A MacRumors reader, Blake just shared a survey question that asks if he ever uses the headphone port on his MacBook Pro with Retina display.

Similarly, several other users on Twitter have been asked similar questions regarding the headphone jack, indicating that the tech firm could be planning to dump the headphone jack in an upcoming version of the MacBook Pro.

Apple has already eliminated the headphone jack from the iPhone, so it won't be surprising if the trend continues to a slew of other Apple devices.

Aside from asking about the headphone jack, Apple is also putting out feeler questions about battery life, the SD card slot and other ports.

If rumors doing rounds are anything to go by, Apple will release a revamped MacBook Pro with an overhauled chassis and an OLED touch as early as next month.
