Asus Zenfone Max and Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 are two smartphones with huge battery capacity. Which one should you choose?

Asus Zenfone Max specs review: Design, software and hardware

The Zenfone Max is specifically designed for heavy users. It's got non-removable 5,000 mAh battery capacity. The phone can be used as a power bank to charge another device.

The design is quite classic and elegant with leather-like finish for its back. It's a 5.5-inch dual-SIM smartphone with Asus-built interface the ZenUI. There is nothing significantly great about the screen as it has 720 x 1280 pixels resolution and 267 ppi pixel density. However, Asus gives the screen, a protection from scratch with Corning Gorilla Glass 4, GSM Arena wrote.

Under the screen, Zenfone Max packs Snapdragon 410 processor with 2 GB of RAM and two options of internal storage: 8 GB and 16 GB. It runs Android Lollipop upgradable to Marshmallow. There is a dedicated slot for memory expansion.

In terms of audio quality, the speaker results an average sound but the image quality is sharp. The 13 MP rear camera seems to focus fast enough. It offers manual mode to change shutter speed and ISO. The front camera gets 5 MP quality but it somehow lacks a little bit of the details in the image captured.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 specs review: Design, software and hardware

Redmi note 4 is one of the Xiaomi's flagships that comes with huge battery capacity of 4,100 mAh. It is not as huge as the one in Zenfone Max but Xiaomi's device comes with worth-to-consider specifications.

It's a 5.5 inch hybrid smartphone that comes in two editions. The standard edition gets 16 GB of memory and 2 GB of RAM. The high edition comes with 64 GB memory and 3 GB of RAM. The camera specifications are the same as Zenfone Max.

Redmi Note 4 runs Android Marshmallow and it's got fingerprint scanner - something that Zenfone Max does not offer.

Redmi Note 4 comes with fast-charging feature whilst Zenfone Max may take longer to charge. However, for budget-concern heavy users who only care no other than the life of their smartphones, Asus Zenfone Max can be a great buy.
