Microsoft recently rolled out an ad for the Surface Pro 4 showcasing features that are exclusive to the latter - for instance, a touchscreen - something not usually found on Apple's devices.

Users can even write on the screen of the Microsoft built slate with the Surface Pen, a feature that the Mac Book Air does not come with.

Moreover, with the Type Cover, the much lauded tablet comes with a removable QWERTY, something that MacBook Air users do not get since it's a laptop and not a tablet; in other words, the Mac Book Air features a permanently attached QWERTY.

It looks like the Apple iPad Pro could give the Surface Pro 4 a tough competition, as the device not only features the Apple Pencil but also comes with the Smart Keyboard. Apparently, the Redmond based tech giant is making the comparison as the Surface Pro 4 runs on a desktop class OS with Windows 10, PhoneArena reported.

The latest TV commercial for the Surface Pro 4 features pro football scout Trey Brown, who is seen using the tablet to assess college players.

In other news, the Surface Pro 4 is currently up for grabs for a price of $849, which is $150 less than the previous retail price of $999.

The 4GB RAM/128GB storage variant is currently the only one that is on the sale on the Microsoft Store in the United States. The promo discount is scheduled to end on September 24, according to reports on TWCN Tech News.

With the latest Surface Pro ad, Microsoft has once again taken a jab against Macs as Brown states that the ability to write on the display and to turn the Surface Pro 4 from a laptop to a tablet is something that cannot be done with Apple's notebooks.
