While rumor mills continue to swirl speculations around the highly-anticipated MacBook Pro 2016, Razer has announced a revamped version of its 12.5-inch Razer Blade Stealth laptop at PAX West 2016.

Measuring just 0.52-inches and weighing 2.84 pounds, the featherweight Razer Blade Stealth is one of the world's most portable laptops, CNet reported.

The laptop is designed keeping young professionals and students in minds; striking a perfect balance between high-end performance and awe-inspiring features along with great battery life in a pocket-friendly package.

The CNC aluminium chassis of the laptop houses Intel Core i7 processor that warrants ultimate performance. Packed with 1 TB of solid-state storage, the Razer Blade Stealth comes with 16GB of fast memory that give grounds for enhanced productivity and storage; but that's not all. According to Intel's general manager, Chris Walker, the seventh generation Intel Core processor offers new media capabilities for a 4K UHD experience.

The Razer Blade Stealth leverages the powerful performance of the processor in a bid to offer users the much-needed power to play, watch and create at full-power in an extremely portable and appealing design.

Moreover, the device features a 12.5-inch Quad HD 2560 x 1440 IGZO touchscreen display. Users can opt to upgrade the laptop to a 4K IGZO touchscreen display, provided they don't mind paying the premium for it.

If recently surfaced reports are anything to go by, Blade Stealth will pack a better and larger 53.6 Wh battery, that enable the laptop to last up to 9 hours on a single charge.

According to Min-Liang Tan, Razer CEO the first Blade Stealth offered a perfect blend of value, personalization and performance, with basic features that other manufacturers fail to match even in their higher-priced models.

The company's engineers have already come up with an enhanced and more powerful 2nd generation Ultrabook, and notably boosted the battery life, Tan added. Also, the Razer Blade Stealth features a backlit notebook keyboard that is powered by Razer Chroma technology.

The device effortlessly connects with the Razer Core to offer expanded connectivity options and external desktop graphics power via a single Thunderbolt 3 cable that delivers transfer speeds up to 40 Gigabytes per second.

The Razer Core is compatible with a slew of latest graphics cards including the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 and AMD Radeon RX 480. The Blade Stealth will be up for the grabs for $999.

Meanwhile, rumors are running rampant that Apple is gearing up to unveil two sizes of the MacBook Pro 2016 i.e. 15-inch and 13-inch screens, MacRumors reported.

The Apple device is said to sport a sleeker, sharper design and will come with USB-C ports for connecting displays and external hard drives.
