Samsung owns responsibility for the reported battery explosion of their latest mobile handset Galaxy Note 7. The Korean tech giant company will give a full refund or exchange of units under their exchange program. With the latest circumstances faced by Samsung for Galaxy Note 7 recall, netizens are expecting higher sales for iPhone 7 which will be launch this coming September 7 during the Apple event.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Samsung Electronics Co. will recall millions of Galaxy Note 7 units following the reports about battery fires and explosion which will surely deal a blow for company's recovery efforts. Samsung's handset division chief Koh Dong-jin said that the exchange program will be implemented to the 10 countries where Galaxy Note 7 units were distributed. He added that it will take two weeks to get a full replacement for the units. When asked about the cost of exchange program, Koh did not provide details about it but said it breaks his heart.

Meanwhile, Samsung is conducting a series of quality tests for the upcoming shipments of Galaxy Note. To ensure that the devices are safe, a battery monitoring service will be roll out in South Korean starting September 19. As a result of the massive Galaxy Note 7 recall, Samsung shares fell two percent in Seoul and having one percent of retraced on Friday.

Samsung did not disclose the reason as to why they halted shipments in their home country in South Korea.  But Green Bot speculated that it is because of the five South Korean consumers who claimed about device explosion. The same source said that the latest incident faced by Samsung will definitely give a chance to Apple iPhone 7 to whoop past ahead the Galaxy Note 7. Thus, iPhone 7 sale is expected to boost soon after its release in September 7.
