Huawei , the popular Chinese smartphone manufacturer is not likely to unveil the Mate 9 in the IFA 2016 in Berlin; contrary to what earlier reports indicated. However, a slew of recently surfaced leaked photos of alleged renders give us a sneak peek at the Mate 8 successor.

The said leaked photo renders of the Huawei Mate 9 shows the chassis of the phone which gives us a fair idea of the phone's outward aspect, provided it turns out to be the real thing. There are umpteen fan-made renders all over the internet; however the recently leaked ones could be the real deal considering that they resemble the previously leaked photos.

Leaked renders of the Huawei Mate 9 came from MyDrivers and they do come extremely close to the Mate 9 visuals we've seen through earlier leaks, Phone Arena reported. For instance, it alludes to the same dual-rear-facing camera setup for the rear which is placed above the fingerprint scanner of the phone.

Not everybody is thrilled about the black and gold color combo Huawei is rumored to deploy with the eventual product. Nonetheless, the profile of the purported Mate 9 is nothing short of awe-inspiring.

Huawei has taken the wraps off their new Nova and Nova Plus smartphones for the mainstream market even before unveiling the Huawei Mate 9. Both the aforesaid smartphones - the Huawei Nova and Nova Plus - will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM, TweakTown reported.

Huawei Nova has a 5-inch display, 12MP rear camera and a 3020mAh battery, the Huawei Nova Plus, on the other hand, sports a larger 5.5-inch screen, 16MP camera and a robust 3340mAh battery.

In terms of price, the difference is just $30 as the Nova will come with a price tag of $450 and the Nova Plus will sell for $480. The smartphones will be up for grabs in 12 countries starting October, according to reports on Deccan Chronicle.

Huawei's decision to remain mum regarding the Mate 9 release date could be an indication that it will be moved back even further by the end of 2016.

If rumors proved to be true, the Huawei Mate 9 will be powered by the Kirin 960 chipset coupled with 6 GB of RAM which makes it a perfect device for the high-end market. The company has also remained tight-lipped regarding the device's release date and price.
