Theories are surfacing  saying that the monster Demogorgon which Eleven slayed was actually her alter ego. A suggestion was mmade by Uproxx and was even accompanied by sketches. At the end of the series, Eleven destroyed a monster called Demogorgon. Eleven was the young hero of the series who was experimented upon and she has telekinetic abilities.

Firstly, the author of the theory looks up on the meaning of the Demogorgon. Originally, this is a creature from "Dungeons and Dragons" with two heads -one of which is a deceptive head while the other is a destructive head. Being two-headed, it was interpreted that the decetive side was Eleven herself while the destructive side is physically materialized by the Demogorgon monster,Pink News reported.

Also, it can be noticed that the encounter between Eleven and the Demogorgon was in a very dark place. This was interpreted into a place inside Eleven herself instead of another dimension.  The blackness was Eleven looking into her own subconscious. It was also said that the monster was created from her fear and anxiety whic was caused by the facility where she was experimented upon.

Uproxx's theory even tapped into the scene where Mike is handed a copy of the #134 issue of the "X-Men" series. This was tha issue where Jean Grey unleashed two forces: good Phoenix and the evile Dark Phoenix. Another hint is when eleven says "I am the monster".  It is also noted that when eleven raised her hand up, the monster did the same and when she destroyed the monster, she was gone with it.

There was no evidence, however, that Eleven is actually dead. But if she is not dead, then the monster is also alive.

Meanwhile, another theory which claims that there will be a crossover between "Stranger Things" and "Parks and Recreation" was confirmed. BenSchwartz,  the actor that played the role of Jean-Ralphio Sapperstein has confirmed the theory in an episode of "The Late Late Show with James Corden", according to IGN.
