Samsung Galaxy S8 already created a buzz with rumors that the upcoming smartphone will be VR-ready. If true, the device will make history of being the first ever virtual reality (VR) attuned smartphone.

Samsung recently launched the Samsung Galaxy S7 that is tearing through the competition, turning the industry into a two-way battle between Samsung Galaxy S7 and the Apple iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. Recently, the Samsung Galaxy S7 has already been on top of its game as the most premium Android-powered handsets to date. However, there have been speculations that Samsung is in a way holding back on something promising for its next generation flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S8, Android Headlines reported.

Samsung is yet to make an announcement regarding the Samsung Galaxy S8 but it is said to hit the history books if it follows through with a VR-ready smartphone. Other Smartphone makers are already on their way to making VR-ready devices, but as it appears, Samsung has always been one step ahead.

For this to follow through, Samsung needs to make sure that the upcoming flagship phone will have a 4K display resolution since anything lower can not accommodate VR capabilities. The Samsung Galaxy S8 may also have 3840 x 2016 pixels and 806ppi pixel density. The combination provides the most advanced visuals for smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy S8 is also speculated to be equipped with the Exynos 8895 Processor, which Samsung has proclaimed to be even more powerful than the current Exynos 8890. However, it remains unclear whether or not the use of the new processor would mean a faster draining of the battery.

Samsung Galaxy S8 is also said to include at least 4,000mAh specifically designed for VR-related functions. In terms of memory, it will have at least 5GB of RAM, which is more than enough for the functionality that the device is designed for, Christian Post reported.
