Born in Kennett, Missouri, this famous singer started out with a goal in mind. Like most professionals, they use their degree for them to get work. Sheryl Crow did just that.

This singer worked as a music teacher at Kellison Elementary School in Fenton, Missouri after she graduated college. According to Ranker, she is known as a record producer, film score composer and song writer.

In her early years, she attended the Kennett High School and University of Missouri - Columbia. She was a majorette at Kennett High and also an athlete. From University of Missouri - Columbia, she majored in Music Composition, Performance and Education. She placed her degree to the test by teaching. It enabled her to pay the bills while she wrote jingles. She cannot hide her love for music.

Teaching during the day also meant she was able to sing at night and during the weekends. Ultimately, her jingle writing got her her big break when she became a back up singer for Michael Jackson.

In addition to her profession, it is also notable to add that she was awarded an honorary doctorate degree from the University of Missouri and from the Southeast Missouri State University.

She continues to advocate education and music. In an episode of TODAY, Sheryl Crow surprised the kids and staff of Kennett High School. She wants everyone to know how difficult it is at being a teacher when they need to provide for the kids. Crow pulls out a check on behalf of Farmers Insurance and Adopt-A-Classroom program. Crow wants the teachers to use the money for the school supplies needed. Until now, she remembers her time as a teacher and just wants the kids to get the education they deserve.

Now, she has released eight studio albums and has won nine Grammys out of 32 nominations.
