She is described to be a star student. Now, she is getting ready for the next phase in her educational life. She is going to be a freshman in DeLand's Stetson University.

She is considered to be the youngest freshman at 14 years old. Danielle Carson says, "I've always enjoyed math." For her, it is like a puzzle. That was the first thing she said when talking about her college life. She is not old enough to drive a car or even vote but she is a mathematical genius.

She was already solving college-level equations when the rest of her classmates were just learning simple math addition, cites WSVN. She was home-schooled because the schools she tried to enroll in do not know what to do with her advanced learning. She was already learning algebra when she was learning her first grade education. "From third grade to seventh grade no school would take her," says her mom Mindy.

Until Stetson took her in. Experts sat down with Danielle and taught her what she needed to know. Her classmates helped her too. When asked how it feels to be with other students, she says "It's really nice being with other students." She adds that she can finally get the education she's supposed to have while learning with other people.

Her attendance in Stetson is only on a partial scholarship. Her educational goal includes attending Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Danielle Carson wants to get her Ph.D. there. She is not sure if she will major in engineering or physics. "Anything in the math field, " she says.

Right now, Danielle just wants to enjoy learning math at a level suited for her. Carson is also thinking about opening her own club at Stetson, called the blackjack club.

For now, Danielle said, she's right where she wants to be and has even talked with some of her new.
