He is known as that tall lanky Irish television talk show host and comedian. He is famous for his humor, he is a former Saturday Night Live writer and a Harvard graduate. Aside from being deathly pale and orange, Conan O'Brien holds a doctorate degree.

In his earlier years, he attended Brookline High School. He already had a knack for writing. In the school newspaper, The Sagamore, he was the managing editor. He graduated high school as the valedictorian in 1981.

He then attended Harvard University and took history and literature. He graduated Magna Cum Laude. He was also the writer for the Harvard Lampoon humor magazine. Later on, he would write for The Simpsons and Saturday Night Live. His successes led him to be the funny man on TV he is today.

In 2011, O'Brien gave an inspirational speech to Dartmouth students after receiving his honorary doctorate degree, according to Business Insider. During his commencement speech, he told the students that "life is not fair."

This Irish American talk show host was born in 1963. He is known for being a comedy writer and television producer. Since 2010, people from all over the world has tuned in to watch Conan on TBS. The same set of people saw him take the stage and took the name Dr. O'Brien.

"Thanks to the honorary doctorate I received from Dartmouth yesterday, I changed the name of "Conan" to the much funnier "Dr. O'Brien," tweeted Conan. He praised 1,700 graduates for earning their degrees at Dartmouth. He joked that Dartmouth is giving him the same degree for interviewing the fourth lead in Twilight.

He went on to say that disappointment will come. But "with disappointment comes clarity, conviction and true originality," says O'Brien. In his speech, he added that graduates' majors or career directions may change or may have changed during their tenure at Dartmouth. And he told that. "Whatever you think your dream is now, it will probably change."

"And that's okay," he added.
