As Google introduced "Nexus 5X" and "Nexus 6P" in September 2015, the American multinational technology company is expected to launch their new Nexus smartphones next month.

The internet has been hit with tons of leaks regarding the upcoming Google Nexus "Sailfish" and "Marlin," which are supposed to be next in line to the 5X and 6P.

The upcoming Google Nexus smartphones are going to be manufactured by the mobile phone network company - HTC, and both of the devices have been certified by the FCC recently. The more affordable Sailfish, had popped up on AnTuTu earlier this month, and this time, Nexus Marlin will show off, according to Android Headlines.

The Nexus "Marlin" just emerged in the Chinese software benchmarking tool - AnTuTu, and it seemed the two Google Nexus smartphones are quite similar. The only difference seems to be in the smartphone display resolution, the Marlin will be equipped with a QHD (2560 x 1440) panel, while Sailfish will be featured with a full HD (1920 x 1080) display.

"Marlin" will also feature a 13 megapixel rear camera, and 8mp front facing camera. And the device will be pre-installed with the Android 7.0 Nougat.

However, "Marlin" will be packed with Snapdragon 820 chipset that features a quad-core CPU, along with the Adreno 530 GPU, 4 gigabyte of RAM and a 32 gigabyte of internal storage, based on the report of Phone Arena.

That being said, the tech company is supposedly looking to better position its gadgets to compete against Apple's iPhone. Google Nexus smartphones are expected to have high-end specifications and high-quality design. The latest leak indicated that the smartphones will indeed have top hardware, in which it will match the specs of some of the hottest smartphones, such as the Note 7 and "Galaxy S7" series, BGR reported.

And both of the upcoming Google Nexus smartphones are claimed to be made out of metal and glass.
