A "Metal Gear Solid 5: Definitive Ex" Amazon UK listing has gone live, but is now taken offline. The listing is full of placeholder information, including a release date of Dec 31.
Suspicions arise that the "Metal Gear Solid 5: Definitive Ex" is a definitive edition of "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" game, which includes "Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes" and perhaps TPP's cosmetic multiplayer DLC.
The listing belongs in the video game section of Amazon but no image is attached to it. The rumored "Metal Gear Solid 5: Definitive Ex" was listed as a CD-ROM media type, GameSpot reported.
"Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes," which had a completely separate content from the "Metal Gear Solid 5: Phantom Pain's" full release, was deployed in 2014, Playstation Lifestyle reported. It served as half prequel and half demo for the full Phantom Pain experience. "Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes" received mixed reactions while "Metal Gear Solid 5: Phantom Pain" performed well with both consumers and critics.
Meanwhile, Microsoft has revealed Xbox One and Xbox 360 deals, which covered "Metal Gear" Solid titles at a discount. "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" and "Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes" are on sale for both Xbox consoles, while Xbox 360 players can get Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, and "Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance" at 50 percent off.
There are also games included in the "Metal Gear Solid" HD Collection such as the "Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty," "Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater" and "Peace Walker."
"Metal Gear Solid 5: Definitive Ex" leak has not been confirmed or denied. Konami, the game's manufacturer was reportedly contacted, but has not given any comment on what the listing was for yet.
