Last month, Asus announced a couple of new members to its ZenFone family of smartphone i.e. the ZenFone 3 Max and ZenFone 3 Laser. While both the smartphones are up for grabs for under $300 in a limited number of Asian countries, they're yet to hit the store shelves globally.

However, it looks like the ZenFone 3 Laser is slated to make it to more markets soon, as the OEM is now promoting the device in a video on Asus' global YouTube channel.

The video features very captivating electronic music, and shows off a slew of key selling points of the Asus ZenFone 3 Laser. For instance, the phone sports a 13 MP main sensor that features laser auto-focus that gives it a focus speed of only 0.03 seconds, according to the Taiwanese OEM.

Asus also showed off the phone's metal body, Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Zen UI and fingerprint scanner, Phone Arena reported.

The ZenFone 3 Laser's camera (Sony IMX214 sensor) is likely to snap photographs in a jiffy; however it will not retain the quality contest as compared to sensors from the regular ZenFone 3 and ZenFone 3 Deluxe. This is due to the fact that the latter two sport cameras equipped with Optical Image Stabilization, the ZenFone 3 Laser's sensor, on the other hand, only has Electronic Image, TechTimes reported.

Nevertheless, the ZenFone 3 Laser is touted as being capable of taking "steady full HD video recording, which should encourage users to record all their festive adventure.

As far as the processing power front is concerned, the video notes that the ZenFone 3 Laser count on an octa-core processor clocked at 1.4 GHz.

The device will be up for grabs in two of color choices: gold for the opulent millennial people and silver gray for the casual traditional crowd.

In other news, Asus is all set to debut its Zenfone 3 smartphone series in India. The Taiwanese smartphone maker rolled out press invites for an event dubbed, 'Asus Z3NVOLUTION', slated to take place in New Delhi on August 17.

The company recently divulged that it will screen the upcoming event with 360-degree view option, The Times Of India reported.

Currently, a slew of the ZenFone 2 models can be officially purchased unlocked in the U.S. and this could also imply that the ZenFone 3 line will share the same treatment. However, until Asus confirms this, fans are advised to take this speculation with a grain of salt.
