For those who do not know yet, Regis Philbin is the man behind "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" and other talk shows. However, he actually has a Bachelor of Arts degree under his belt. He majored in Sociology back in 1953. That was from the University of Notre Dame.

He has been ruling morning television for the last three decades. And according to Sioux City Journal, he has garnered a net worth of more than $90 million. His wealth soared from hosting various talk shows and game shows since the 1960's.

He has taken the Guinness World Record for spending the most time in front of a TV camera. This media personality, actor and singer was born in 1931. He is considered to be the hardest working man in show business.

Did you know that he was named Regis because his father wanted him to attend the prestigious Regis High School? He attended the Our Lady of Solace grammar school in the Bronx. He then graduated from Cardinal Hayes High School in 1949. He moved to University of Notre Dame thereafter. He graduated in 1953 with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology. Sociology is the study of the human society. It is fitting that this was his major as he is the kind of host that fully engages with his audience on a conversational level.

Before he made it big on television, he actually joined the United States Navy as a supply officer.

His first talk show was The Regis Philbin Show in California. He did not have his own writers so he engaged with his audience instead. In 1967 he gained national exposure on The Joey Bishop Show.

He worked on various TV shows, eventually landing the co-hosting gig that would be known as "Live! With Regis and Kathie Lee", and later "Live! With Regis and Kelly."

But many remember him for his game show antics in "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire." He also hosted "America's Got Talent" in 2006.
