OnePlus 3 mini smartphone is not being put to production which disproves the rumors of the upcoming new OnePlus device. OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei took to Twitter a post that says "no" with a hashtag "rumorshutdown."

Since Pei debunked the speculations on OnePlus 3 mini, new speculations arise regarding the truth behind the GFXBench listing that started rumors about the device in the first place. Two possibilities are now speculated.

1. One is that GFXBench listing is fake and the other is that the new OnePlus device may not be named OnePlus 3 mini, Indian Express reported. Benchmark tests have been known to be manipulated and faked quite easily. It could mean that the alleged upcoming OnePlus 3 mini is nothing but a hoax from a user who wanted to spark excitement and rumors in the smartphone scene.

2. The second possibility is that a variant of OnePlus 3 device is in the making but OnePlus might just call it differently. OnePlus 3 mini may not be how they want to name the device and perhaps it will go by a different moniker, IT Pro reported.

Meanwhile, it has been noticeable that the OnePlus 3 sales were put to a pause last week. In a forum, Pei explained that they are working hard to secure more stocks and fire up more production lines.

The plan is said to fulfill their goal of handing out premium products to as many people as possible. He also noted that they will be offering an in-stock notification service where customers can sign up using their email address to get notified when stocks arrive.

OnePlus 3 was the first flagship device from OnePlus company, which saw huge sales via an open sales format. The company have reportedly removed its invite system entirely. This in turn is thought to lead to stock depletion because of the high demand for the device, which caused the company to temporarily pause sales since last week. Watch the One Plus 3 review here.
