Apple Inc. is in the process of making plans to bring out soon the new 13-inch and 15-inch "MacBook Pro" laptops with retina displays.

The multinational technology company is putting up a completely new pro laptop along with many new features, such as a Touch ID sensor as well as an OLED mini screen above the gadget's keyboard, according to Bloomberg.

Rumor has it that the new "MacBook Pro" will come as thinner and lighter compared to the wedge-shaped like of the "MacBook Air" or the 12-inch retina MacBook. The bezels around the display of the device should be smaller, and the overall frame should also be smaller, based on the report of Tech Crunch.

Since earlier this year, the tech giant has been advanced testing the new laptops. The MacBook Pros aren't likely to be unleashed at an event currently scheduled for September 7 - which will introduce the next-generation versions of the iPhone. But, Bill Evans (Apple spokesman) declined to comment about the issue.

The new MacBook will also have the distinctive attribute of USB-C ports, in which the user can charge a compatible accessory much faster compared to the older version USB technology. The tech company may even unleash the recently developed MacBook Pros in different colors, which includes gold, silver and gray, CNET reported.

However, Steve Jobs, Apple co-founder, indicated the Apple tablets as the possible laptop replacements, and Steve called the iPad a "post-PC" device after it kicked off in 2010. But Apple devices like the "MacBook Pro" were known to be tough. As the sales of Macs, which includes the Pro line, boosted 6 percent to $25.5 billion in the last fiscal year, while the sales of iPad declined 23 percent to $23.2 billion.

And the overhaul of "MacBook Pro" this year is aimed at increasing the notebook sales.
