PS4 Neo and Xbox One Scorpio releases have been exciting to many of the fans as recent reports claimed that both consoles will feature 4K High Dynamic Range gaming with top quality Virtual Reality Gaming experience. In addition, Sony and Microsoft's new powerful consoles will also allow an ultimate experience on a 4K TV and a VR headset.

PS4 Neo is expected to be compatible with the PlayStation VR headset while Xbox One Scorpio has not received a confirmed VR partner nor a headset yet, The Week reported. However, Oculus, the manufacturer of the PC-based Rift headset, is reportedly on board which may bring compatibility to Xbox One Scorpio.

PS4 Neo is expected to carry 4.14 teraflops of GPU power while Xbox One will sport a more powerful 6 teraflops of GPU power. It is important to note, however, that higher teraflops do not equate to better graphics immediately. Both consoles are also expected to equip 8GB of RAM with processors having clock speeds of over 2.1GHx.

Rumors claim that PS4 Neo will be integrated with an 8-core 64-bit AMD processor and improved clock speed. Aside from its 8GB of GDDR5 RAM, PS4 Neo is rumored to carry 512MB of DDR3 memory with higher bandwidth.

Xbox One Scorpio, on the other hand, may sport 12GB of DDR5 memory, which is bigger than its competitor. It is integrated with 8 CPU cores with over 320GB per second of memory bandwidth, The Bitbag reported. Speculations arise that PS4 Neo may be inferior to Xbox One Scorpio when it comes to specs but Sony has not confirmed anything about its console yet.

PS4 Neo is suggested to launch this year and an announcement from Sony is expected before the PlayStation VR launches in October. Xbox One Scorpio may not be released until Christmas 2017. Price points for both of the new consoles are not yet revealed as of this posting.
