"Pokémon Go" players have significantly risen the demand for battery packs as the popular mobile app continues to attract binge gaming.

Players of the popular AR mobile game have opted to upgrade the battery life of their mobile devices by way of purchasing battery packs to fuel their binge gaming, NPD Group reported.

The surge of battery pack sales have soared in recent weeks following the launch of "Pokémon Go," of which are still launching to more countries. Data have shown that in just a two week streak, portable power pack sales have risen to 101 percent during July 10 to July 23.

Product placements, as well as promotions may have played a vital role for the boost in sales, too, but industry analysts state that none can deny the influence that the popular mobile game have brought to the market.

Battery packs and the like have been on the rise in recent months with unit sales have increased by 35 percent by the start of June 2016, but following the launch of "Pokémon Go," the short-lived plateau of steady sales were turned upside-down as data revealed more and more players are opting to upgrade the battery lifespan of their mobile devices, according to PC Mag.

Industry analysts also predict that the unit sales will still continue to rise, especially coming from the iOS community, as the game's recent update have dropped the game's battery-saver feature for iPhones, as well as iPads.

It is apparent that a single charge is not sufficient for "Pokémon Go" players. The popular game from Niantic Labs continue to break records as the game is still few months young.

Niantic Labs have acknowledged the apparent negative feedback following its removal of the battery-saving mode among iOS users, as the game developers cite that it has received feedback that the particular feature causes the game to be riddled with bug, and have chosen to drop the feature on its latest update.
