After the tragic shooting in Dallas that took the lives of policemen, people took to their respective platforms and expressed their outrage against the issue. One person expressed her disappointment in a different angle.

A senior and vice president of University of Houston, Rouhini Sethi posted on Facebook "Forget #BlackLivesMatter, More like AllLivesMatter."

Because of her post, Shane Smith, the university student body president took corrective action. Smith publicly denounced her actions and suspended her. Along with her suspension, she is to take a culture sensitivity workshop. The sensitivity training will require her to take three days to complete.

In response, Sethi disagreed to Smith's issue but she complied anyway. According to National Interest, Sethi is only doing it for compliance and her views are still the same. Her personal views, which were posted on Facebook, went viral and outraged the whole student body.

African American students at the University of Houston no longer feel that she is suited to lead them. Shane Smith announced his distaste regarding the issue. "Her post and subsequent actions were very divisive," he said. "It caused some in our student body to be upset with her. They lost their faith in her ability to represent them because they felt she did not understand or respect the struggle in their lives."

Although Smith said "some" and not the majority, critics thought his statement was abrupt. Many feel that his role as student body president was not fulfilled properly in this situation. His role is to keep a small but vocal group satisfied.

Sethi aired her private views on Facebook and did not use any of the school's media platforms to communicate her opinion. Digging deeper, many think that Sethi's reaction was because she was disturbed by the events in Dallas and she probably felt disillusioned by the movement. Many perceive her as a threat. Unfortunately, the student body is no longer confident with her.
