Long wait is over for those who are fans of Samsung, as Galaxy Note 7 is out now. The tech company introduced its one of the coolest features, iris-scanner. So how this feature works?

The new note 7 was unveiled on Tuesday, August 2, during the event in New York. Maybe some will judge because its size is just the same as the Note 5 and S6 Edge+. The South Korean company introduced their Note 7, which comes with large-screen smartphone with the5.7-inch Quad HD resolution display . What could make users "wow" is its iris-scanning camera.

What makes iris-scanning camera special? Unlocking Note 7 is easier because of this feature-user should look at the camera to unlock his phone, Wired reported. Folders in the phone are more secure because of retina or fingerprint protection.

Note 7 is the first Note phone that uses USB-C charging, and the first Galaxy device with HDR10 video playback. It also has S Pen stylus.

Users can translate or magnify text using S Pen. Creating GIF only requires a few taps away using Note 7, as you can turn any video that isn't DRM protected into a GIF. No need to get some S Pen-friendly apps if you use S Pen often because a Samsung Notes app combines the functionality of several predecessors.

If you are a fan of waterproof gadget, Note 7 could be perfect for you. This latest Samsung's Android smartphone comes with curved, waterproof metal and glass body, just like some designs and features from the popular 5.5-inch Samsung Galaxy 7 Edge, according to CNN.

Back to the feature that Samsung boasts to users, iris-scanner, the company is not the first one to use the scanner as a biometric security. As a matter of fact, companies such as, Fujitsu, Alcatel and Chinese manufacturer ZTE have already created phones with similar technology, according to the source. Samsung added to Note 7 a new infrared camera that scans user's eyes using infrared light emitted from the LED on the front of the phone.
