Good news, there is a new "Harry Potter" book, "Harry Potter and The Cursed Child." Bad news, this is the last book of "Harry Potter" according to its creator, J.K. Rowling.

During the gala of "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" Premiere at the Palace Theatre in London's West End on Saturday, July 30, the "Harry Potter" novels author, J.K. Rowling, confirmed that this book is the last, according to SMH. Rowling was asked if whether the stage production, and the publication of its script, which is being billed as the eight in the "Harry Potter" series, presents a new phase of stories, she answered, "No."

"This is the next generation, you know. So, I'm thrilled to see it realised so beautifully but, no, Harry is done now," Rowling said.

For her, it was not a difficult decision to put her "Potter" creation onstage because of its producer Sonia Friedman's vision. Although the "The Cursed of The Child" is the last, she ensured fans that this book will give something special to them.

The 50-year-old writer, Rowling, is very thankful as the fans of "Harry Potter" did not spoil the new book series. She was photographed with a smile on her face as she greeted fans in the event. Rowling walked the red carpet along co-writer Jack Throne and producers Sonia Friedman and Colin Callender, IB Times UK reported.

"The Cursed of the Child's" has been in preview, meaning, some lucky fans, or you can call them lucky muggles, got a chance to watch the play, which has been presented in two parts, and has been officially opened on Saturday.

She told the reporters during the gala that she witnessed the most extraordinary fandom, so she was not surprised that the fans didn't want to spoil "The Cursed of The Child" for each other.
