Many high school students are applying for scholarships or are in search of scholarships that will help fund their college or university tuition. Luckily, there are scholarships out there that pay for all four years of college.

It may not be considered a fully paid account but multi year scholarships are considered to be the best means that can significantly lower annual college tuition expenses.

In today's time, it is a good idea to apply for anything that can help with the tuition expenses. One can not just wait for the free tuition policy of Hillary Clinton to take effect. As early as high school, families are already looking at options. And with the continuing tuition hikes, even a $500 scholarship for college is something that can help.

How does one get a scholarship? According to USNews, recipients of multiyear scholarships are required to maintain a specific level of GPA. As long as the student is eligible, he will be reviewed for the scholarship.

Multiyear scholarships are offered from athletic to academic based scholarships. It offers the opportunity for a fund alleviation for more than one year in college. With some scholarships that can be renewable, scholars are required to maintain satisfactory grades or higher. Some even require students to participate in certain extra-curricular activities to continue.

However, not all multiyear scholarships can cover the full college tuition. But scholarships like The Asian Pacific Fund can help lower annual tuition cost. The APF offers $1,000 to $3,000 scholarship funds to incoming freshmen enrolled full-time at an accredited four-year institution or incoming community college. Another scholarship is the ACS Scholars Program. This is a chemistry related scholarship, open to those pursuing a chemistry related field. Qualified high school seniors or college freshmen, sophomores or juniors who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents with documented financial need can earn up to $5,000 per year, which they can apply to renew each semester.

These are just some of the scholarships available. Be sure to check your local community center or school for ideas regarding scholarships and grants.
